Compliance & Safeguarding

Safeguarding is Not a Box We Tick. It is How We Operate.

Every worker placed by First Call Education goes through a rigorous pre-employment screening process aligned to the Department for Education's statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education.

This page explains what we check, how we check it, and how schools can access our compliance records.

Single Central Record

Supporting Your Single Central Record

First Call Education provides schools with written confirmation of the checks completed for each Agency Worker before they begin an assignment. This information is provided in a format suitable for inclusion in your school's Single Central Record (SCR).

If you require a specific format for your SCR, contact your consultant and we will accommodate it.

Compliance Doesn't Stop at Placement

We conduct annual DBS renewals for all regularly placed Agency Workers. We monitor the DBS Update Service for any changes to Workers' records and take immediate action where a concern arises.

If a safeguarding concern comes to our attention after a worker has been placed, we have a clear escalation procedure and will notify the school immediately.
